Saturday 16th December was a cold and crispy but sunny morning which accounted for the lack of competitors; also the start of the first was due at 0900. With a delay of 16 minutes owing to some still sleepy unshaven sailors tardiness the race committee got the racing under way. 7 competitors led by the class captain were given 5 two lap races. The weather was clement the wind blowing a steady 8-12 knots from West to Norwest or 270-310. The wind was a light I-3 knots flicking around between 180 and 270.
