Sailing Manager

The Sailing Manager’s primary role is the development and running of all water-based activities, including training, at Bembridge Sailing Club.  In addition, they will be proficient to deal with a high volume of sailing administration, resource management and ensure that statutory and governing body requirements are met.

The candidate must be a qualified RYA Senior Instructor and ideally hold additional RYA Instructor qualifications. However, willingness to learn, a positive attitude, strong communication skills, ability to encourage member participation and the delivery of excellent  customer service are paramount.

This is a permanent position; the successful candidate must be willing to vary their hours to fit with the seasonal nature of the Club. This will involve full time hours during the summer months and part time working during the winter.

Full Time Assistant Bar & Dining Supervisor

Bembridge Sailing Club is a vibrant Private Members Club which is open all year round.
We are looking to recruit a Bar and Dining Supervisor to join our small team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will help manage a team in delivering the best experience to our members.

Previous experience working within the hospitality industry is essential.

 

Job Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that all members and guests are welcomed.
• Managing a small team with confidence and being a leader by example.
• Ensuring areas of work are kept clean throughout the day, in line with our strict Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Standards.
• Assisting in the training and mentoring of staff.
• Stocktaking.
• Cashing up and locking up at the end of the day.
 
The Ideal Candidate:
• Should have previous supervisory experience in hospitality.
• Be a leader by example with a can-do attitude.
• Have strong customer service skills.
• Have knowledge of food safety and COSHH (preferred).
• Have Health and Safety experience (preferred)
 
Compulsory requirements:
• Must be able to work evening and weekends.
• Must be able to commute to and from work (including late nights).
 
Salary dependent upon experience.
